On May 16, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the staff members of the State Bank of India (SBI), Nelson Manickam Road Branch, Chennai. Around 10 staff members participated in the session. They were provided with information brochures and green ribbons to promote awareness on organ donation.

The session began with Dr. Hemal, Quality Assurance Officer, who gave a brief introduction about MOHAN Foundation and its initiatives in promoting organ donation awareness across the country.

This was followed by Ms. Kanishka, Project Executive, who conducted a session on cornea donation awareness. She explained about corneal blindness, its major causes, and the increasing prevalence of corneal blindness. She also highlighted how cornea donation can restore vision and improve the quality of life for individuals affected by corneal diseases. The session further covered the process of cornea donation and the precautions to be followed by individuals willing to donate.

Following this, Dr. Hemal conducted a session on organ donation awareness, emphasizing the increasing incidence of organ failure due to lifestyle-related diseases and medical conditions. She spoke about the importance of organ donation, the impact it can create in saving lives, and the process of pledging to become an organ donor.
