Awareness Session on Eye Donation Conducted at Kundpada village, Jawhar, Palghar |
|
An eye donation awareness session was successfully conducted on April 10, 2026 at Kundpada, Jawhar, during an eye check-up camp organized by Vision Spring. The primary objective of the session was to create awareness among the local community about the importance of eye donation and to encourage people to pledge their eyes, thereby helping to restore vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Approximately 80 participants attended the session, including men and women from the local community. The session began with an introduction to the concept of eye donation, highlighting how donated eyes can give the gift of sight to visually impaired individuals. The participants were informed that eye donation is a noble act that can make a significant difference in someone’s life even after death. The session was interactive in nature, allowing participants to ask questions and share their thoughts. Their queries were answered in a simple and informative manner to ensure better understanding. The importance of spreading awareness within families and communities was also highlighted, encouraging participants to discuss eye donation with their loved ones. MOHAN Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to Vision Spring for organizing the eye check-up camp and providing the opportunity to conduct this awareness session. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the residents of Kundpada village for their active participation, cooperation, and support.
