2 Haryana Battalion NCC Ambala Cantt, Haryana Date: May 2, 2026 Venue: Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, District Ambala, Haryana The SRDF-MF Foundation was privileged to be invited by Col. Sameet Nawani, Commanding Officer of 2 Haryana Battalion NCC Ambala Cantt, Haryana, to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for NCC cadets. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 480 cadets representing schools and colleges across across Panchkula and Ambala, along with 20 Officers. The session was inaugurated by Mrs. Sangeeta Jamwal, Head of Operations at SRDF-MF, who introduced the mission and vision of the foundation. She emphasized organ donation as the ultimate “gift of life” and highlighted the critical role of youth in championing this noble cause. Mrs. Jamwal also presented the current status of organ donation in India, drawing comparisons with global benchmarks and discussing policy frameworks such as the opt-out system. Following this, Ms. Preeti Gupta delivered the session covering key topics:
The cadets and officers actively participated, asking insightful questions and expressing their support. The Commandant and officers concluded by encouraging all cadets to pledge their organs and spread awareness among family, friends, and teachers. This initiative not only educated the participants but also inspired them to become ambassadors for organ donation, reinforcing the message that donating organs is the ultimate act of giving life.
