On April 15,2026, MOHAN Foundation, Ranchi, conducted an organ donation awareness session at Raj Hospital, Ranchi to educate participants about the importance of organ donation, with support from SOTTO Jharkhand through IEC materials. The session aimed to spread awareness and encourage people to adopt a positive attitude towards organ and tissue donation.

The session was led by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, who explained key concepts, addressed common myths, and clarified doubts related to eye donation. He also elaborated on the importance of timely action in eye donation and how it can restore vision for those in need. IEC materials provided by SOTTO were effectively used during the session to enhance understanding and engagement among participants.

During the session, participants actively interacted and raised questions such as how long donated organs can be preserved. This query was addressed with clear explanations, highlighting the preservation time limits of different organs and the importance of quick medical response.

The programme was informative and impactful, helping to create awareness, clear misconceptions, and encourage meaningful discussion on organ and tissue donation. A total of 80 people attended the session and participated with great interest.
