An organ donation awareness session was conducted on April 10, 2026 at Tetartoli, Bariatu, Ranchi, Jharkhand with the objective of educating participants about the importance of organ and tissue donation and encouraging them to understand the life-saving impact of donation. The session witnessed the participation of around 15 attendees, who actively engaged throughout the programme.

The awareness session was facilitated by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh from MOHAN Foundation, Ranchi. He began the session by introducing the work and mission of MOHAN Foundation and its efforts toward spreading awareness about organ donation and motivating communities to support this noble cause.

During the session, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh explained key concepts related to organ and tissue donation in a simple and informative manner. He highlighted how organ donation can help save and improve the lives of patients suffering from organ failure and emphasized the importance of creating awareness within society.

Special focus was given to heart valve donation, where participants were informed about the role of heart valves in saving lives and improving the health of patients requiring valve replacement. Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh also addressed common myths and misconceptions associated with organ and tissue donation and clarified the doubts raised by the attendees.

The participants were educated about the importance of timely donation, family consent, and the need to openly discuss organ donation with family members. The session remained interactive and meaningful, with participants showing interest in understanding the process and significance of donation.

The programme helped create awareness among the attendees and encouraged positive discussions on organ and tissue donation. Overall, the session was informative and impactful, motivating participants to support and promote the cause of organ donation within their communities.
