On 20th April 2026, an organ and body donation awareness session was conducted at the residence of Mr. Siddharth Karwankar, located at Stone Valley Apartments, Banjara Hills. The session was led by Dr. Bhanu Prakash, Senior Transplant Coordinator from the MOHAN Foundation.

During the visit, an in-depth awareness session was conducted with the family, focusing on organ donation, eye donation, and whole-body donation. Dr. Bhanu Prakash explained the concept of brain death in detail and highlighted how organ donation can save multiple lives. The importance of timely decision-making, along with the medical, ethical, and legal aspects of donation, was clearly communicated.

The session also included a detailed explanation of the procedures involved in organ donation, eye donation, and whole-body donation, presented in simple and understandable terms. All queries raised by the family members were addressed patiently, ensuring clarity and confidence.

The family showed great interest and a positive attitude towards donation. As a significant outcome of the session, Mrs. Padmini Garu, the elderly mother of the family, formally pledged for whole body donation by signing the MOHAN Foundation Body Donation Form.

The family appreciated the consistent efforts and initiatives of the MOHAN Foundation in spreading awareness and promoting organ donation within the community.
