On 13th March 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness talk on Organ Donation at Cloudnine Hospital Bellandur branch, Bengaluru. Mrs. Ranjini Shankar was the key resource.

Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS the project manager and Mr. Nagendra Kumar R the transplant coordinator represented MOHAN Foundation.

Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS, initiated the talk by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following concepts were explained in detail

• Concepts of organ and tissue donation,
• The types of death i.e., cardiac death and brain death
•  Brain Death and the procedure to declare Brain Death through Apnoea test
•  Procedure of deceased organ donation and live organ donation.
• Procedure of skin and bone donation.
• Barriers in the process of organ donation
• Myths and facts related to organ donation and its impact on the society
• Importance of Donor card

Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS gave a brief insight into MOHAN Foundation courses and motivated the audience to pledge for organ donation

Around 45 members attended the talk. All of them supported the cause by taking the pledge for organ donation.
