An eye donation awareness session was conducted on February 13, 2026, at Jyeshtha Nagrik Bhavan (Garden), Palghar, with the objective of educating community members, particularly senior citizens, about the importance of eye donation and encouraging them to support this noble cause.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Prachiti, who provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, highlighting its role in restoring vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. She explained the eye donation process, including eligibility criteria, precautions, and the necessary steps to be followed at the time of donation.

Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping to build awareness and confidence among the participants. The attendees were also encouraged to pledge for eye donation and to spread awareness within their communities.

Approximately 68 participants attended the session, reflecting good community participation. The session was interactive and informative, contributing effectively to raising awareness about eye donation.
