Eye Donation Awareness Session Conducted at Ganjad, Dahanu, Palghar

On March 14, 2026, Dhawale Hospital organized an Eye Check-up Camp at Ganjad, Dahanu to promote eye health and prevent avoidable blindness. As part of this initiative, Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation conducted an Eye Donation Awareness Session for the general public.

The session highlighted the growing issue of corneal blindness in India and emphasized how timely eye donation can restore sight. Participants were informed about the causes of corneal blindness, the importance of maintaining eye hygiene, and the need for regular check-ups to prevent vision-related complications.

Ravi Pawar also explained the eligibility criteria for eye donation, key legal procedures, and addressed common myths and misconceptions that often discourage people from pledging. The session was interactive, with attendees asking questions and expressing genuine interest in the topic.

Around 65 people participated in the program, many of whom showed enthusiasm and willingness to support the noble cause of eye donation and promote awareness within their communities.
