Organ donation is a noble act that can save and improve many lives. To spread awareness about this life-saving cause, MOHAN Foundation regularly conducts awareness programmes in hospitals and communities.

As part of this initiative, an organ donation awareness stall was conducted on 11 March 2026 at Alam Hospital, Bariyatu, Ranchi, for patients’ guardians to educate them about the importance of organ donation. The objectives of the programme were to create awareness about organ and tissue donation, explain the concepts of brain death and cardiac death, inform participants about the organs and tissues that can be donated, discuss the legal aspects of organ donation, remove myths and misconceptions, and motivate people to support organ donation.

The awareness stall was conducted by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh. During the session, he explained organ and tissue donation, brain death, cardiac death, and the organs and tissues that can be donated. The legal procedures involved in organ donation were also explained. Common myths and misconceptions related to organ donation were discussed and clarified to help participants develop a better understanding of the topic.

A total of 15 patient attenders participated in the awareness stall. The session was interactive, and participants showed interest in understanding the process of organ donation. One of the questions raised during the session was, “What is cardiac death?” The question was answered clearly and explained in simple language for better understanding.

The awareness stall helped participants understand the importance of organ donation and clarified their doubts. The session also helped create a positive attitude towards organ donation among the participants.
