Organ donation is a life-saving act that offers a second chance at life to patients suffering from end-stage organ failure. To promote awareness and encourage people to support this noble cause, MOHAN Foundation regularly conducts awareness programmes among different sections of society.

As part of this initiative, an organ donation awareness stall was conducted on 9 March 2026 at Instamart, Bariyatu, Ranchi, for the staff members. The programme aimed to spread awareness about organ and tissue donation, explain the concepts of brain death and cardiac death, educate participants about the organs and tissues that can be donated, discuss the legal aspects of organ donation, remove myths and misconceptions, and motivate people to support organ donation.

The awareness stall was conducted by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh. During the programme, he explained the concepts of organ and tissue donation, brain death, cardiac death, and the organs and tissues that can be donated. The legal aspects of organ donation were also discussed, and common myths and misconceptions were clarified with factual information.

A total of 20 staff members attended the awareness stall. The session was interactive, and participants actively engaged in the discussion. One of the questions raised by the participants was, “What is brain death?” The query was answered in detail and explained in a simple manner for better understanding.

The programme helped improve awareness and understanding about organ donation among the participants. It also cleared misconceptions and encouraged staff members to support the cause of organ donation.
