On March 2, 2026, an organ donation awareness session was conducted at Pillai College, Rasayani, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. The session was attended by 120 students and aimed to educate young participants about the importance of organ donation and the need to build awareness in society. The session was led by Ms. Sakshi, Project Manager at MOHAN Foundation, who delivered an informative and engaging talk on key topics related to organ donation. She explained the concepts of brain death and cardiac death, helping students understand the medical and legal differences between the two. She also spoke about the age limit for organ donation, clarifying that donation is considered based on the condition of organs and medical suitability rather than age alone. To make the session more relatable and impactful, Ms. Sakshi referred to the recent case of Ms. Alin, which helped students understand the emotional and social significance of organ donation. She also encouraged the students to watch Aye Zindagi, a film based on the theme of organ donation, and informed them that it is available free on YouTube. This recommendation added a thoughtful cultural perspective to the discussion and helped connect the topic with real-life emotions and experiences. The session was interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions. Some of the questions raised during the session included:
