|
Teachers from KC High School in Chennai attended an organ donation awareness workshop on March 25, led by organ donation ambassadors Ms. Krisha and Ms. Shreyadita. Dr. Hemal Kanvinde and Mrs. Arshiya Fathima represented the MOHAN Foundation. Ninety instructors attended the event, which took place in the school's auditorium.
Shreyadita and Krisha discussed the significance of organ donation, its necessity, its various forms, and its ethical and relational elements. They established the significance of a donation by using an organ recipient as an example. A quiz for the teachers was administered after the discussion. The teachers thoroughly appreciated it.
Dr. Hemal provided an overview of the Angels of Change program, which the school can use to educate children about organ donation and raise awareness. Following the presentation, topics such as voluntary body donation, donation contraindications, and donation timing were discussed. Over fifty educators picked a donor card and promised to pledge.
The ambassadors also arranged a talk for non-teaching personnel in addition to the instructors. Mrs. Arshiya discussed organ and eye donation with the ten employees. A donor card was picked by two of them.
The MOHAN Foundation is grateful to the ambassadors for setting up this session at the school. |
