On March 16, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govind Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was conducted at the Neurology Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote awareness about organ donation and transplantation among the general public.

Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive for Tripura, represented MOHAN Foundation and led the session.

Ms. Modak spoke about the significance of organ donation, the different types of organ and tissue donations, and how a single donor can save multiple lives. The session also focused on addressing and dispelling common myths and misconceptions associated with organ donation, while encouraging participants to support and spread awareness about this noble cause.

Informational leaflets on organ donation were distributed to participants to enhance their understanding of the concept. The program was attended by approximately 13 people.
