Empowering Students Through Organ Donation Awareness – ZPHS Palamakula, Shamshabad, Telangana |

On February 3, 2026 – An impactful organ donation awareness session was successfully conducted at Zilla Parishad High School, Palamakula, Shamshabad Mandal, marking another meaningful step toward fostering awareness among young minds. The initiative was led by Venkatesh Kattela, Project Manager, under the aegis of MOHAN Foundation, with the objective of educating students and faculty about the life-saving significance of organ donation. Two interactive, PPT-based sessions were conducted one for students of Classes 6 to 8 and another for Classes 9 to 10 reaching a total of 197 students and faculty members. Both sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the growing interest of students in understanding humanitarian causes. The sessions comprehensively covered key aspects of organ donation, including: • Definition and types of organ donation A particularly noteworthy moment occurred when a student raised a thoughtful question regarding the side effects after kidney transplantation. This reflected not only curiosity but also deeper engagement with the subject. Several participants expressed their willingness to support organ donation by raising their hands during the pledge segment. Notably, 10 participants demonstrated their commitment by displaying their donor cards, serving as inspiring role models for their peers. The school in-charge and faculty members sincerely appreciated the initiative taken by MOHAN Foundation and extended their strong support by proudly holding up donor cards, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility. The successful completion of this session at Zilla Parishad High School, Palamakula, Shamshabad Mandal underscores the importance of early awareness and education in nurturing a socially responsible generation committed to saving lives through organ donation.
