On February 11, 2026, Ms. Simran Anand, Programme Officer, MOHAN Foundation, NCR attended a prayer meeting held at Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Dilshad Garden, New Delhi to pay tribute to the memory of tissue donor Mrs. Neelam Aggarwal. The invitation was extended by Mrs. Anupama Aggarwal, sister-in-law of the late donor.

The meeting commemorated the life of Mrs. Neelam Aggarwal (62 years), who had been admitted to the hospital due to a kidney-related illness. She was discharged on January 29, 2026. The family believed she was recovering. But after returning home, her health worsened. She began to experience breathlessness. In the quiet hours of the night, her condition deteriorated. Just two hours before her death, Mrs. Neelam spoke words that she wanted to donate her organs. Her corneas and skin were successfully donated on February 1, 2026.

During the gathering, Ms. Simran introduced MOHAN Foundation and spoke about the importance of eye and skin donation, highlighting its profound impact in restoring sight and transforming lives. She emphasized how such selfless acts bring hope and offer a new beginning to those in need. Family members and relatives also shared heartfelt memories of Mrs. Neelam, remembering her generosity, kindness, and compassionate nature.
