On January 12, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Uttarakhand attended a prayer meeting held at Gurudwara Shri Singh Sabha to pay tribute to the memory of tissue donor Mr. Jaswant Singh Ratan. The invitation was extended by Mr. Kulvinder Singh Kittu, son-in-law and Ms. Manpreet Singh, daughter of the late donor. Representing the Foundation was Mr. Arun Sharma, Program Executive, Uttarakhand.

The meeting commemorated the life of Mr. Jaswant Singh Ratan (87 years), who passed away due to cardiac arrest at his home, Bankhandi, Rishikesh. In a compassionate gesture, his family consented to donate his corneas. The donation was coordinated by MOHAN Foundation and Lions Club Rishikesh Devbhoomi in association with the Eye Bank & Corneal Grafting Centre, Swami Rama Himalayan Hospital, Dehradun.

During the gathering, Mr. Arun Sharma spoke about the significance of eye donation and its profound ability to restore sight and transform lives. On behalf of the Foundation, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the family in recognition of their noble and selfless act.

MOHAN Foundation expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the family of Mr. Jaswant Singh Ratan for their generosity and compassion. Nearly 120 attendees joined the prayer meeting to honor and celebrate his legacy.
