On January 3, the Organ Donation Ambassadors of Pupil International School invited Dr. Sunil Shroff, Managing Trustee of MOHAN Foundation, as the Chief Guest, along with the MOHAN Foundation team. The programme began with a brief introduction of the gathering, followed by the inauguration of the school’s new club, GOAL – Gift of a Life.

The event was attended by approximately 250 students, parents, and teachers. The students opened the programme with a meaningful song on organ donation, setting an emotional tone. This was followed by the screening of a short film created by the students on Hithendran’s life story, highlighting the importance and impact of organ donation.

Subsequently, the students presented a powerful performance explaining what happens to the body and organs after brain death, effectively conveying key messages in a simple and impactful manner.

This was followed by an inspiring talk by Mr. Hariharan, a kidney recipient, who shared his life journey and motivated students to understand the importance of organ donation and the life-changing impact it has on recipients and their families.

Later, Dr. Sunil Shroff addressed the students and parents, emphasizing the growing need for organ donation in the present times due to changing lifestyles and increasing organ failure cases.

As a token of appreciation, the chief guests Dr. Sunil Shroff, Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, and Mr. Hariharan were presented with paintings created by the students on the theme of organ donation. Certificates of completion of the Ambassador Training were awarded to 25 students.

The programme concluded with the presentation of badges to the President and Secretary of the GOAL club, followed by an organ donation pledge and the National Anthem. MOHAN Foundation thanks Director – Dr Saveetha for the opportunity and collaboration in promoting organ donation awareness.
