An eye donation awareness session was conducted on January 19, 2026, at Garden Court, Palghar, with the objective of educating community members about the importance of eye donation and encouraging them to support this noble cause.

The session provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, including the process involved, eligibility criteria, and the steps to be followed at the time of donation. Participants were informed about how eye donation can help restore vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness.

Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping to build awareness and confidence among the attendees. The participants were also encouraged to pledge for eye donation and to spread awareness within their communities.

Approximately 65 community members attended the session, reflecting active participation. As an outcome of the session, 11 participants came forward to pledge for eye donation. The program proved to be informative and impactful, successfully raising awareness and motivating individuals to contribute to this life-saving cause.
