“Gift of Life” Organ Donation Awareness Session at Yashoda Girls Arts and Commerce College, Nagpur |

On January 22, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted a “Gift of Life” organ donation awareness session at NSS camp of Yashoda Girls Arts and Commerce College, Nagpur, with the objective of creating awareness among students about organ donation and transplantation. On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Veena Wathore, Ms. Neha Sailwar, and Mr. Dhiraj Kurve facilitated the session. The session was conducted by Ms. Neha Sailwar, who introduced MOHAN Foundation and explained the concept of organ donation. She covered key topics such as what organ donation is, what brain death means, and the importance of organ donation in saving lives. The session aimed to build clarity and correct understanding among students. Following this, Mr. Dhiraj Kurve shared information about the role and responsibilities of a Transplant Coordinator, explaining how coordination, counselling, and ethical practices play a crucial role in the organ donation and transplantation process. MF Team also shared real-life inspiring stories related to organ donation, which motivated and encouraged the students to think positively about this life-saving cause. An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted, during which students raised queries related to organ donation and transplantation. All questions were addressed clearly by the MOHAN Foundation team. Around of 46 students actively participated in the awareness programme. The session concluded with positive engagement from the students, reflecting increased awareness and interest in organ donation.
