Organ Donation Awareness at MPUPS Nomula

On January 31, 2026 – The final day of January was marked by a successful and intimate organ donation awareness session at the Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School (MPUPS) in Nomula. The program highlighted the importance of early education in humanitarian causes, reaching a dedicated group of students and educators.

The session was made possible by the Principal, who kindly granted permission and provided full support to ensure the message of organ donation was effectively communicated to the school community. Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela delivered an engaging talk to 46 students and faculty members from Classes 6 and 7.

The presentation was tailored to be accessible and impactful for the younger audience, covering the essential pillars of the gift of life:

  • The Basics of Donation: What it means to give and how it saves lives.
  • Brain Death vs. Cardiac Arrest: Simple, clear distinctions between the two.
  • The Donor Card: Explaining it as a symbol of a hero’s wish.
  • Debunking Myths: Addressing common misconceptions in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Family Discussion: Encouraging students to talk about kindness and donation at home.

The session reached a high point of engagement when the time came for the pledge. Several students and participants enthusiastically signaled their commitment to the cause by raising their hands. The program concluded on a positive note, with 7 participants formally pledging to donate their organs.

Even more encouraging was the active support from the teaching staff; faculty members proudly displayed their own donor cards, providing a tangible and inspiring example for the students to follow. This visual demonstration of commitment reinforced the lesson that being a donor is a noble and practical way to serve humanity.
