Organ Donation Awareness at ZPHS Manchal, Telangana |
|
On January 27, 2025 – The Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Manchal, hosted a highly successful and deeply moving organ donation awareness session on January 27, 2025. The program, designed to be age-appropriate and engaging, reached over 150 students and faculty members. To ensure focused interaction, Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela conducted two separate PPT-based sessions: one for students in Classes 6 to 9 and a dedicated session for Class 10. This structured approach allowed for a more intimate discussion on the science and ethics of giving. The sessions covered the critical pillars of organ donation, providing students and staff with a clear roadmap of how one individual can impact many lives:
The impact of the presentation was significantly heightened when a faculty member shared a poignant story about a fellow staff member from their school who had previously donated their whole body. This real-life example of ultimate altruism served as a powerful testament to the school's existing culture of generosity and made the theoretical discussion very real for the students. The leadership at ZPHS Manchal showed immense commitment to the initiative. The Vice Principal and several faculty members expressed their sincere appreciation for the MOHAN Foundation’s work. In a visual show of solidarity, the faculty and students raised their donor cards at the conclusion of the session, signaling their personal pledges to the cause. The program concluded on a positive note, with 6 participants formally pledging to donate their organs. This event at Manchal proves that when a community has witnessed the power of donation firsthand, the message of hope and humanity resonates even more clearly.
