On January 9, 2026 – The organ donation awareness drive continued its successful momentum at the Jupally Balamma Memorial Zilla Parishad Upper Primary School (ZPUPS) in Muchinthal. The session was made possible through the proactive support of the Principal, Mrs. Uma Maheswari, who graciously granted permission and championed the cause within her school.

Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela led the initiative, organizing two dedicated PPT-based awareness sessions—one specifically for boys and another for girls. This tailored approach ensured a comfortable environment for all 250+ students and faculty members from Classes 6 to 9 to engage with the topic.

The sessions provided a thorough understanding of the life-saving potential of organ donation, covering all vital aspects:

• The definition and various types of organ donation.
• The essential distinction between brain death and cardiac arrest.
• The significance of carrying a donor card.
• The procedural aspects of the consent process.
• Common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation.
• The pressing societal need for organ donation.

A major highlight of the day was the Principal's personal commitment; Mrs. Uma Maheswari not only appreciated the MOHAN Foundation’s activities but also formally signed a donor card, providing a truly encouraging example for her students and staff.

The event was a resounding success, with several participants both students and faculty taking the pledge to donate their organs. The program concluded on a positive note, with 10 participants formally pledging to donate their organs. The commitment shown by the Muchinthal school community reinforces the vital role that educational institutions play in shaping a more compassionate society.
