On January 13, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Mantripukhri, Imphal East, Manipur. The session was led by Ms. Moirangthem Priya and Mr. Victor Rajkumar, Program Executives, MOHAN Foundation.

The programme was organized in association with Mr. Kiran, Program Head – Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH), with the support of the staff of UPHC Mantripukhri.

Ms. Priya commenced the session by introducing the team and providing an overview of organ donation. She explained the organs that can be donated and clarified the difference between living and deceased donation. She emphasized that a single act of organ donation has the potential to save and significantly improve multiple lives. She also highlighted organ donation as a humanitarian service and reiterated that the commercial trade of human organs is strictly prohibited under the law.

In her concluding remarks, she shared the toll-free helpline number and relevant informational resources for participants seeking further clarification. Informational pamphlets were distributed to reinforce key messages and address participants’ queries.

Approximately 15 participants attended the session and gained valuable insights into the importance of organ donation as a service to humanity.
