On 17^th December 2013, an awareness talk on organ donation was organized by Eraviperoor Grama Panchayat, Vennikulam Pathanamthitta. Mr. Rajeev, President Eraviperoor grama panchayat  took an initiative to coordinate this programme. He invited Mrithasanjeevani, Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS) to deliver a talk on Organ Donation to educate the  panchayat voluntary workers to promote organ donation  in their panchayat.  The event was held at Thritheeya Suvarna Jubilee Hall, Govt. UP school, Vennikulam. The programme started with welcome speech delivered by Mr. Jayan, Health inspector, public health centre (PHC) Eraviperoor. Later Mr. Rajeev addressed the gathering. 

Mr. Aneesh P. V, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation, deputed to Mrithasanjeevani, Kerala, conducted the session on organ donation. The topics discussed during talk were: What is organ donation, importance of organ donation, types of donation, brain death, coma and natural death, procedures in brain death donation, religious myths on organ donation, Mrithasanjeevani and KNOS registry and importance of donor card.

Around 80 members participated in the programme. At the end, donor card were distributed to the participants, all the participants pledged their organs by signing the donor card. The programme ended with a vote of thanks rendered by Mr. Anilkumar M. R. Health supervisor Community Health Centre, Ezhumattoor.
