On December 9, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness session at the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Mantripukhri, Imphal East, Manipur. The session was facilitated by Ms. Moirangthem Priya, Program Executive, and assisted by Mr. Victor Rajkumar, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation.

The session was organised in coordination with Mr. Kiran, Program Head, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH). A diverse group of participants, including staff members and patients, attended the session.

Ms. Priya initiated the session by discussing the current status of organ donation and transplantation in the state. She highlighted the government and private hospitals where transplant procedures are being successfully carried out. She provided a detailed explanation of deceased organ donation and spoke about the organs that can be donated after brain stem death. The process of cornea donation was also explained, along with information on the availability of the Manipur State Eye Bank in Imphal. In addition, she elaborated on the process of pledging for organ and tissue donation during one’s lifetime.

Informational pamphlets on organ donation were distributed to the participants. The session reached approximately 15 participants.
