The Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan (ABMMS), Chennai Chapter, in collaboration with RYA Cosmo Foundation Hospital and MOHAN Foundation, successfully conducted a three-day awareness campaign on organ and tissue donation at the hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD) in Otteri.

ABMMS has been a strong advocate for organ and tissue donation since 2017. Continuing this commitment, the Chennai wing organized an information desk from November 24–26, 2025, between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM, with MOHAN Foundation serving as the knowledge partner for the initiative.

During the campaign, Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer, and Mr. Ganesh C, Senior Project Executive from MOHAN Foundation, engaged with patients and hospital staff to promote awareness on organ and tissue donation. Green ribbons and educational brochures were distributed throughout the OPD. Mr. Ganesh conducted personalized interactions to educate visitors on corneal donation, including steps to contact eye banks and precautions involved in the process.

The campaign sensitized around 130 individuals, and 9 people came forward to pledge their corneas. Additionally, 21 dialysis patients received FAQ booklets on kidney transplantation and post-transplant care at the hospital’s dialysis centre.
