On November 26, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted an organ donation awareness session for the nursing staff and doctors of Viveka Hospital, Nagpur, as part of its ongoing public education and outreach activities.

The session was led by Ms. Veena Wathore (Project Manager) and Ms. Neha Sailwar (Program Executive) from MOHAN Foundation. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Manjiri Damle, Admin, Viveka Hospital, who facilitated the arrangements and supported the smooth execution of the session.

Ms. Veena Wathore introduced the concept of organ donation and explained its life-saving potential. She highlighted the organs and tissues that can be donated, clarified the difference between living and deceased donation, and emphasized the importance of spreading awareness within the healthcare community. She also addressed basic doubts and helped participants understand the significance of donor pledging.

Following this, Ms. Neha Sailwar took the session forward by sharing detailed information about the training courses offered by MOHAN Foundation, specifically designed for nursing staff and healthcare professionals. She also explained the step-by-step process of how to take an organ donation pledge, encouraging participants to motivate others and communicate the message within their circles.

The awareness session witnessed active participation from around 30 nursing staff members and doctors, who engaged with the speakers and appreciated the valuable insights shared. Information brochures were provided to reinforce the key points discussed during the session.
