Awareness Session on Organ Donation at Cloudnine Hospital Patparganj, New Delhi |

On November 25, 2025, MOHAN Foundation (MF) conducted an awareness session at Cloudnine Hospital Patparganj led by Ms. Simran, Programme Officer and accompanied by Ms. Annie, Programme Officer - MF NCR. The session aimed to educate hospital staff and administration about the importance of organ donation and address their misconceptions.
Ms. Simran encouraged a conversation about what organ donation is and the current situation, particularly in India, at the start of the session. This initially made the session easier for the audience to understand.
After the discussion, Ms. Simran presented a thorough Presentation that addressed the main points. Donation of organs; including The Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994; the definition of organ donation and its significance; who is eligible for donation; the concept of brain death and the process of brain death declaration; distinction between brain death and coma; about eye donation, and the myths surrounding organ donation. She then highlighted MOHAN Foundation’s goals for its Anudaan Project.
The session turned out interactive at the end of the session as the participants asked questions such as, “How organs are allocated to recipients?”, “Is there any cost involved in donating organs?” among others. Ms. Simran concluded by urging everyone to discuss organ donation with friends, families, and co-workers. She also emphasized on the positive transformation organ donation brings to the recipients' lives.
The session saw a participation of 16 hospital employees that included nurses and admin staff.
