On November 1, 2025, the MOHAN Foundation, Tripura, conducted an awareness program on organ donation at Lefunga Rural Development (R.D.) Block. The session was organized as part of the Foundation’s ongoing initiative to promote awareness about organ donation across Tripura.

Mr. Vincent Debbarma (Project Lead, Tripura) and Ms. Nipa Modak (Program Executive, Tripura) represented the MOHAN Foundation and facilitated the session. They highlighted the importance of organ donation, explained the procedures involved, and shared how one organ donor can save and improve multiple lives. The discussion also covered recent developments in Tripura’s organ donation and transplantation program, in collaboration with the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO), Tripura.

The program was graced by the presence of the Block Development Officer (BDO) and the Additional Block Development Officer (Addl. BDO) of Lefunga R.D. Block. Participants actively engaged in the session, raised queries, and expressed appreciation for the initiative undertaken by the MOHAN Foundation.

Around 14 official staff members from the block attended the session with great enthusiasm. The program concluded with an appeal to all participants to come forward and pledge to donate their organs, thereby contributing to saving lives and spreading the message of hope and humanity.
