On October 1, 2025, MOHAN Foundation participated in a Health Camp organized by the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, under the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” program at Leimakol Regional Institute, Nambol. Representing MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Laishram Monica Devi, Program Coordinator (Northeast) & Project Lead (Manipur), attended the camp, along with Ms. Chongtham Pritam Devi, Medical Social Worker and Transplant Coordinator, RIMS.

The camp featured expert sessions from RIMS on nutrition and mental hygiene. Ms. Pritam delivered a talk on eye donation, stressing its importance and the transformative impact it can have in restoring sight.

Ms. Monica conducted a PowerPoint presentation on organ donation, focusing on its life-saving potential through both living and deceased donations. She explained key concepts such as brain death and coma, highlighted the demand-supply gap in organ transplantation, and guided students on the process of registering as donors. By addressing common myths with evidence-based information, she motivated participants to consider pledging their organs and fostered a spirit of altruism in the community.

Nearly 100 students attended the session and gained valuable insights into the significance of organ and tissue donation in saving lives.
