Observation Visit to MOHAN Foundation

On September 09, 2025, the first-year MSW students of Soka Ikeda College visited MOHAN Foundation (MF) as part of their Observation Visit. The visit was structured into three sessions:

  • About MOHAN Foundation
  • Organ Donation Awareness
  • Courses offered by MOHAN Foundation

Mr. Ganesh C, Senior Project Executive, welcomed the students and spoke about MOHAN Foundation — its vision, 28 years of impactful work, geographic presence across India, and achievements. He also introduced the Ambassador Program, Internship Program, the courses offered, and the organ donation helpline 1800 103 7100.

Ms. Santhiya, Intern, addressed the students on Organ Donation, highlighting types of donations, the concept of brain death, how one “yes” can save nine lives, and the importance of pledging as an organ donor.

Ms. Sujatha, Course Director, engaged the students with insights on the vital role of a Transplant Coordinator in organ transplantation. She further explained the professional courses offered by MOHAN Foundation to train and prepare future transplant coordinators.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by one of the students. A total of 9 students and one faculty member participated in the visit, gaining valuable insights into the work of MOHAN Foundation and the cause of organ donation.
