An online awareness session on Organ and Eye Donation was conducted on  August 15, 2025, for the staff of Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Tambaram, Chennai.  The session was broadcast in 7 other centers of Siddha Research. The Director General, Prof. Dr. N. J. Muthukumar graced the occasion and pointed out the importance of Organ and Tissue Donation.

Dr Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer and Ms Sangeetha K, Project Executive  of MOHAN Foundation were the resource persons for the talk. 

Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, delivered the first session. She gave an introduction about the MOHAN Foundation and its activities, and spoke about the importance of organ donation. She also shared current statistics, cleared common myths, explained the process of availing organs through the government system, and guided participants on how to pledge for organ donation.

This was followed by Ms. Sangeetha, who addressed the participants on the need for corneal donation. She explained about corneal blindness  and its causes, then the precautions to be taken for healthy eye donation, and highlighted how individuals can contribute to this noble cause.

The session was well-received with around 40 participants from different branches actively joining and giving positive feedback.
