On August 13, 2025, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Madhuchowdhury Para Higher Secondary School, Abhicharan, West District, Tripura. The session was conducted for students of Classes XI & XII and the teaching staff. The program was facilitated by Ms. Sonalaxmi Debbarma (Headmistress) and Ms. Pramila Debbarma (Assistant Headmistress), who coordinated with MOHAN Foundation, Tripura.

Representing MOHAN Foundation were Mr. Vincent Debbarma (Project Lead, Tripura) and Ms. Nipa Modak (Program Executive, Tripura).

The program began with a warm welcome and introduction by Ms. Pramila Debbarma, followed by an address from Ms. Sonalaxmi Debbarma.

Mr. Vincent delivered a detailed talk on organ donation through a PowerPoint presentation. He introduced MOHAN Foundation, highlighting its mission and initiatives, and covered key topics such as:

• The meaning and importance of organ donation

• Types of donors

• Organs and tissues that can be donated

• Brain death and coma

• Cornea donation

• The Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994

Leaflets on organ donation were also distributed to the participants.

The program was attended by 27 participants, including students and teachers.
