On July 22, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation at Mantripukhri Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Imphal-East, Manipur. The session was led by Ms. Laishram Monica Devi, Project Coordinator (Northeast) and Project Lead (Manipur), along with Mr. Bidyananda Laishram, Senior Program Executive, and Mrs. Thaudem Mayarani Devi, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation.

Organized as part of the immunization programme, the session was held in coordination with Dr. Suranjoy, Medical Officer, Mantripukhri UPHC, with active support from the health centre staff.

Mr. Bidyananda Laishram began the session with an introduction to MOHAN Foundation, its mission, and vision. He spoke on:

• The importance of organ donation in society
• Deceased and living donation
• Challenges faced by patients without a donor
• The critical role of family consent
• Common myths and facts about organ donation

He concluded by outlining the eligibility criteria for organ donation and encouraged participants to actively support the cause.

To reinforce the information shared, Ms. Mayarani distributed FAQs translated into the local language. Nearly 15 participants attended and gained valuable insights into the life-saving potential of organ donation.
