On July 31, 2025, an organ donation awareness session was organized at Jeevan Jyot Old Age Home, New Panvel, Mumbai, for the elderly residents. A total of 20 senior citizens, along with staff members and trustees, attended the session.

Ms. Sakshi Kshirsagar began by introducing herself and sharing information about MOHAN Foundation and its mission. She enlightened the senior citizens on the importance of organ donation and explained the difference between living and deceased donation. She also spoke about the various organs and tissues that can be donated after death, with a special focus on eye donation.

She clarified common concerns, noting that individuals with conditions like cataract or glaucoma can still donate their eyes, which helped dispel prevalent misconceptions.

The session was joyful and attentively received by the residents. It was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging throughout. One of the senior members even performed an act he used to present in his younger days, followed by a soulful Abhang recited by a senior elderly woman, adding a heartwarming cultural touch to the event.
