Organ and Body Donation Pledge Drive for Buddhist Pensioners Association, Nagpur

On June 10, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an Organ and Body Donation Pledge Drive for members of the Buddhist Pensioners Association at Karuna Bhavan, Nagpur. The initiative aimed to educate and empower senior citizens to make informed decisions about organ and body donation.

Representing MOHAN Foundation, MS Veena Wathore, MS Bhagyashree Nighot, and intern Mr Pratham Dalvi facilitated the session. They provided detailed guidance on the importance of donation, addressed religious and cultural concerns with sensitivity, and assisted 25 senior participants in completing their pledges both online and offline via the NOTTO website.

The event fostered a respectful and informative space for discussion, allowing participants to clarify doubts and share personal motivations for pledging. The heartfelt engagement and full participation reflected the growing acceptance of organ donation among the elderly community.

MOHAN Foundation’s efforts in organizing and executing the drive were instrumental in transforming awareness into action, promoting a culture of giving and social responsibility.

Total 25 participants were present and all of them took the pledge for organ and body donation.
