The MOHAN Foundation was honored with a prestigious award by the Zonal Transplant Coordination Centre (ZTCC), Mumbai during its Silver Jubilee celebration held on May 27, 2025 at L.T.M.G. (Sion) Hospital, Mumbai. The event commemorated 25 years of dedicated service by ZTCC to the cause of deceased donor organ donation in Maharashtra.

The evening brought together donor families, hospital teams, and stakeholders who have played a pivotal role in saving lives through organ donation. The Chief Guest of the event, Shri Prakash Abitkar, Honourable Minister of Public Health & Family Welfare, Government of Maharashtra, graced the occasion and personally felicitated the awardees. He commended the collective efforts made across the state to strengthen the organ donation ecosystem.

The MOHAN Foundation received recognition for its consistent and impactful work in organ donation advocacy, public awareness, and transplant coordination, especially in Maharashtra. The Foundation’s long-standing collaboration with ZTCC Mumbai and its contributions in training transplant coordinators and supporting donor families have played a key role in increasing organ donation awareness and registrations in the region.

The award reaffirms MOHAN Foundation’s commitment to its mission: ensuring that no life is lost for want of an organ. It was a moment of pride for the organization, which stands alongside other dedicated professionals and families who believe in the life-saving power of organ donation.

The celebration concluded with heartfelt tributes to donor families, a message of unity from healthcare leaders, and a renewed call to action for more conversations around organ donation. Around 400 people attended the Silver Jubilee Celebration.
