On 14th May 2025, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Kawaljit Kaur, Computer Instructor, to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their Students at Youth Technical Training Society Centre Sector-11 Chandigarh.  Around 35 students attended the session.

Youth Technical Training Society is established as on April 16, 1986 as a Registered Societies (Non-Government) in Chandigarh. The motive of Youth Technical Training Society is Health & Family Welfare, HIV/AIDS, Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation, Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, Women’s Development & Empowerment, Youth Affairs, children Vocational Training in Chandigarh.

Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma.

• When and how does organ donation take place
• Organs that can be donated during life and after death
• The transplant waiting list in India
• Brain death
• Difference between brain death and coma
• Contraindications to organ donation
• Transplant Law
• Role of MOHAN Foundation
• Organ donation Myths and Fact
• Eye Donation

The entire group got motivated and convinced to support organ donation. At the end of the presentation Ms. Kawaljit Kaur Computer Instructor requested the participants that we all should pledge our organs and talk to the family, friends about this noble cause.
