One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme, Bengaluru

Updated on Thursday, February 13, 2020
  • We are happy to announce the “One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme” under the aegis of Jeevasarthakathe.  This programme is being organised by MOHAN Foundation from 20th – 24nd April 2020 at Bengaluru.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counseling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made Transplant Coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a Transplant Centre. This means there is a huge requirement of Transplant Coordinators in close to 400 Transplant centres in the country.

In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted 67 training programmes in the country and trained 2423 transplant coordinators over the past ten years (December 2009 – January 2020).
