7th FORT-MOHAN Foundation training of Transplant Coordinators

Updated on Thursday, May 2, 2019
  • We are pleased to announce the 7th FORT-MOHAN Foundation training on Transplant Coordination from July 29-August 2, 2019 at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI)Sector 44 (Gurugram).

The previous five training programmes, held every year since 2014 at FMRI, have trained 267 professionals from over 15 states in the field of transplant coordination. The faculty like every year includes eminent and experienced professionals from all over the country. The attendees also get to learn from the first-hand experience of the best transplant coordinators from across the country.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counselling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made transplant coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a transplant centre. This means there is a huge requirement of transplant coordinators in close to 400 transplant centres in the country. In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals and FORT has been an active partner in this endeavor.

At the end of the training, every successful participant will be in a position to create a roadmap for initiating an organ donation programme in his or her hospital / city / region and work as the key resource person to spearhead organ donation and transplant-related activities.

We invite applications from transplant coordinators, ICU nurses, medical social workers, para-medical staff, doctors & graduates interested in the field of organ donation to avail this unique opportunity.

Please fill up the registration form to register for the training. A certificate of training will be given to candidates who attend the entire course and pass the written test, which will be conducted on the last day of training.

Completed registration forms along with two passport size photos are to be posted at the address given in the signature:
