An awareness talk on Organ Donation was conducted by MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum- Navjeevean Team membersat Durjaniyawas Panchayat, Jhotwara, Jaipur (50 km Far away from Jaipur Territory)on 23.01.2018. This was part of the Education for Rural Population project of MFJCF.

Dr. TeennaSawhney and Mr. Pavan Kumar Dubey represented the MFJCF- Navjeevan members. Mrs. VimlaJaat, Sarpanch and Mr. Rajendra Prasad Mathur along with 50 villagers attended the session and got sensitized about noble cause organ donation.

Concept of Organ Donation, Need of organs, Brain Death, Coma and Cardiac Death, process of  registration and donation was described by Dr. TeennaSawhney using PowerPoint presentation and video.

During the session some questions were asked and answered by MFJCF- Navjeevan members.

1. If my relative needs a kidney how could he get the kidney?

2. Why do we need to donate our organs?

3. I agree to donate but what about the religious barrier?

 

After the session 40 villagers took the donor card to pledge their organs and promised to be a ambassador of MFJCF- Navjeevan team to spread awareness about organ donation and posed with message board "I SUPPORT ORGAN DONATION"
