Awareness Session on Organ Donation at DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore), Sector-8, Chandigarh

On 20^th December 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Ajay Dogra, NSS Program Officer of DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore), Sector-8, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 60 students from class 12^th attended the session.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

The following points were explained:-

Necessity and importance of organ donation
Types of Donors
In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
In case of Brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
Myths on organ donation
Importance of Donor card

It was indeed an amazing session. All the students were highly motivated and said they will come forth to make it a success in their areas.
