The process of pledging one's organs by filling up the donor card and sharing one's wish to donate organs upon death with the family members was also stressed upon.

At the end of the session, queries of the participants were taken up:

  • How long the heart would continue to beat once brain death has been established and the deceased is kept on the ventilator?
  • Which tissues can be donated after cardiac death?
  • Importance of a donor card and online registration in organ donation

Around 22 people attended the session and 20 donor cards were picked up.
