Patients at OPD learn about organ donation in Nagpur

  • On 28th November 2017, Super Specialty Hospital, Nagpur, invited to MOHAN Foundation to speak about organ donation at the outpatient department (OPD). Dr. Madhukar Parchand special duty incharge of Super Specialty Hospital arranged the stall where MOHAN Foundation displayed information brochures, donor card standees and a banner. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant coordinator MOHAN Foundation managed the stall.

    v  Type of deaths

    v  What can be donated after brain death after Natural Death and while living

    v  What and where is waitlist for organ failure patient

    v  Who can donate organ and value of donor card

    v  MOHAN Foundation activities & website

    v  Helpline number

    27 patients & relatives visited the stall. After understanding about organ donation, 13 patients & relatives took consent form & 2 patients signed consent form & took the donor card, other will sign consent form after discussing with their family.
