Organ donation awareness talk for students of Nagpur Middle School

• Mr. Vinod Porkam, head master of Nagpur middle school, Police line Tadiki, Nagpur invited to MOHAN Foundation Nagpur center to give a talk on deceased organ donation and transplantation on 26 July 2016. Program was especially for 10^th class students. Approximately 33 students were present during the talk. Teachers also attended the program.

  Ms.Kanchan Shewde Organ Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation spoke to the  students. She gave following information:-

  • Difference between Coma & Brain death.
  • Age criteria for organ donation.
  • Organ donation rules and regulation.
  • Role of ZTCC In organ Donation.
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation in Organ Donation.
  •  Importance of Donor card & consent form.
  • Importance of Helpline number & MOHAN Foundation website.

  Students asked many questions for clarify their doubts such as given below:-

  1) Any financial support for donor families?
