  Vidarbha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Hospital, LIC square, Nagpur, organized an Organ Donation Awareness Talk on 26^th February 2018. Dr. Nilay Hande, orthopedic consultant of VIMS Hospital invited MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur to conduct the session.

  Dr. Ravi Wankhede Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur gave talk on organ donation using films and a presentation. In his talk he covered the following topic:

  • Importance of Organ Donation to save another life
  • Type of Organ Donations
  • Difference between coma, Brain death and natural death
  • Role of ZTCC for organ allocation and the importance of NTORC registration
  • Processes in Hospitals during deceased organ donation 
  • MOHAN Foundation website and helpline number as source of information.

  25 Doctors and Nurses attended the session & 3 of them signed consent form and took donor cards. Question asked by nurses:
