One of the oldest Association of Chennai, the University Women’s Association of Madras invited MOHAN Foundation to be the NGO partner and set an information desk on organ donation at their annual seminar. The association had asked young women entrepreneurs to set stalls of their products.
The information stall was set on 16th July 2016 outside the audiovisual room of the Chettinad Vidyashram – the venue for the seminar. Dr. Hemal Kanvinde manned the stall. There were brochures and donor cards and a banner on organ donation. Information on brain death, patient waitlist, what organ can be donated and special emphasis on cornea donation, importance of donor card was given to the visitors.
10 women came to visit the stall and 7 picked up donor cards.
