On 6th November 2014, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Ramana, Head - HR of Vasudha Pharma stating that the family members of their beloved Chairman are very much interested to know about organ donation and would like to have a presentation to know the facts about organ donation and eye donation.
Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram, Country Director, of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of organ donation, concept of brain death, T.H.O 1994 Act, and myths surrounding organ donation and played public awareness films on organ donation of MOHAN Foundation.
All the family members including Sri. M.V. Rama Raju, Chairman of Vasudha Pharma, were present for the presentation with some employees. They were explained on the importance of donor cards and were distributed donor cards, family donor cards, information brochures and activity reports of MOHAN Foundation.
After the presentation, Sri. M.V. Rama Raju and his better half spoke in detail about their plan to set up an eye bank at their native place in Bhimavaram and have requested our help, which we obliged and assured to help them in every aspect in setting up an eye bank along with promotion of organ donation in Andhra Pradesh through MOHAN Foundation.
We thank Sri. M.V. Rama Raju, Chairman, Vasudha Pharma and his family members for taking this noble initiative to start an eye bank and to promote organ donation and helping the needy through Vasudha Foundation.
