Organ Donation Awareness Program for staff of Barclays Shared Services

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited by Barclays Shared Services for an Organ Donation Awareness Program for their staff in DLF SEZ in Ramapuram on 07th September 2017 at 1pm. Mr. Siva Shankar and Mr. Jaya Prakash were the resource persons from MOHAN Foundation.

    The session started distribution of green ribbons and with a question “What is Organ Donation?”. While answering the question the resource person gauge the understanding among the audience.

    Mr. Siva Shankar started the presentation the Concepts of Organ Donation through a presentation. He discussed about the organs that can be donated at the three stages i.e. while living, after Circulatory Death and Brain Death. He further explained the need for the organs and the Authority in Tamil Nadu who allocates the organs to the needy patients. The other points covered were the difference between Brain Death and Coma, and Organ Donation and Whole Body Donation.

    There were around 40 staffs who attended the session and everyone picked a donor card and supported Organ Donation. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Vijay Anand, Team manager for organising this program.
